Fernando DHing, 1 for 1 with a double.

Niese back in trouble in the 2nd, given up 2 hits, a run and a walk, 2 down in the inning. 54 pitches through 1.2 innings.

2 run single. 4 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 1.2 innings. Blech.

Another run scoring hit. 5 runs on 5 hits now. Yeesh.

Niese puts the 2nd inning to bed. His line is horrific through 2: 2 ip, 5 h, 5 er, 3/2 bb/k, 22.50 era, 62:35:27, 1:3:2
