Marcos Carvajal scouting report

Carvajal throws a fastball between 93-95 mph, and can dial it up to the 98-100 range. His secondary offerings include a plus change around 84-86, and a slurve in the 78-82 range.

I think he'll open in the AAA bullpen, along with Ambiorix Burgos.

On an aside, I really really would've liked to get Andy Sisco, also formerly of the Royals. And Bazardo ;) I'm all about younger high upside players. Especially ones which other organizations have ruined and are selling at deep discounts.

  1. Sisco would be a worthy pickup. has he been dfa'd or is he still under the royals control?

Bazardo would also be a good pick up.

Between Sisco, Bazardo, Burgos, and Carvajal...heilman (whose got a very nice trade value on him) is essentially expendible. I like heilman and in no rush to trade him (under control to 2010) but he's playing a role he doesn't want to so if we can get back some genuine talent, i'm all for it.

Daniel Cabrera comes to mind...he's got LIVE stuff that just needs refinement.

  2. Sisco was traded to the White Sox
Bazardo was traded, but I'm not sure where to.
