Ruben Gotay was DFAd today, to make room for Chan Ho Park on the 40 man. Acquired in 2006 for second baseman Jeff Keppinger, Gotay hit .266 in 42 games for AAA Norfolk, and followed that up with a very good winterball season, hitting .295 in 32 games.
This move leaves Anderson Hernandez as the lone prospect at second base in the upper levels of the Mets farm system.
