Josh Thole BUSTED out of a slump in a HUGE way, going 5 for 5 and igniting the Mets decisive 3 run bottom of the 9th with a leadoff single. He would score on Josh Petersen's game tying homer. Later in the 9th, Ruben Tejada hit a grounder to second, which was booted for an error, scoring DJ Wabick with the winning run. Mark Kiger, Thole, and Petersen had multi hit games, while Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 4, run, BB, 3 Ks, .248), Shawn Bowman (0 for 4, RBI, BB, 2 Ks, .300), Carl Loadenthal (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, 2 Ks, .255) and Ruben Tejada (0 for 5, K, .240) all took 0-fers. The Mets had 12 hits and drew 5 walks, and were 3 for 10 with RISP, leaving 11 men on base.
Dylan Owen put the Mets in an early 7-4 hole, but Eric Brown did a simply phenominal job in long relief, going 6.1 innings, allowing just 2 hits and a walk, earning the win after the Mets walked off in the 9th.

Do I need to say anything? OK, I will. Fort Myers had 27 ABs with RISP. Think about that, a perfect game features 27 ABs, and Fort Myers had that many with RISP. Oh, they had 14 hits in those 27 ABs. Every pitcher the Mets sent out there got touched up, with Matias Carrillo taking a severe beatdown, 6 runs in an inning of work. Scott Shaw (the starter), Nick Waechter and Jose De La Torre each gave up 4 runs. Ouchies for their ERAs. Also - all the runs (all NINETEEN) were earned. Double ouchies.
On the positive side, Reese Havens had a breakout game, he'd been mired in a deep slump prior to tonight (9 for 43; 3 for 32). He broke out in a big way (not as big as Josh Thole, though), going 3 for 5 and driving in all 4 of the Met runs. Hector Pellot continued his awesome May with another multi hit game (his 7th in the last 10 games, hitting .444 over that span (16 for 36), and for May, he's hitting .444/.535/.750/1.285). The Mets went 2 for 8 with RISP and left 9 on base.

Jeurys. Familia. Familiarize yourself with this name if you haven't already. He carried a no hitter until 2 outs in the 7th, when he gave up a solo homer and was removed from the game. It was his longest outing of the season, and one of the longest of his pro career. And keep in mind, he plays all season at 19 (turning 20 on 10/10).
The Gnats had 12 hits and drew a ridiculous 10 walks en route to 8 runs, they went just 4 for 16 with RISP and left General McArthur's army on base (16). Juan Lagares, Josh Satin, Sean Ratliff and Luis Alen had multi hit games, while Jordan Valdespin (0 for 4, run, RBI, 2 BBs, .314, 0 for his last 16), Jefry Marte, and Jean Luc Blaquiere (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .203) took 0-fers.
