First 7 Met draft picks

As of right now, the Mets are slotted to pick: 42nd, 47th, 79th, 95th, 101st, 125th and 154th, through the first 4 rounds. Picks 42 and 47 are supplemental first rounders, picks 79 and 95 are second rounders, and picks 101 and 125 are 3rd rounders.

    Any thoughts on who the Mets will be targeting in the draft? I think they should definitly look to grap some high school arms in the draft seeing as that may be the deepest area.

    Omar loves those power arms, and they generally have the most value, but if any promising position players show up, it'd be nice to take a couple of picks to restock, we're pretty thin aside from the outfield.

    Glad to see this blog is getting a little publicity from Metsblog, I used to always enjoy Tejesh's daily minor league rundowns at mets.com's board before I found a forum that didn't suck so much (metsrefugees) :)

    LOL - I found a home at NYFS :)

    I wanna take high upside HS middle infielders and catchers. But if a high upside power HS arm falls to 42, you have to take it. Especially since our 2nd pick is 47, not all that far away from 42.

    I'll probably do a nice list of players to look out for in the draft, mainly high upside high school guys
