Our Prayers are with J.R. Voyles for a speedy recovery and a quick trip back to the field!!

Leading off the bottom of the tenth was Cyclones slugger J.R. Voyles, who not only wouldn’t be able to tie the game for Brooklyn, but was struck above his left eye with a first pitch fastball by Lake Monsters reliever Alberto Tavarez. Visibly shaken and in tremendous pain, Voyles, who was making his first appearance at Keyspan after injuring his hamstring two weeks ago, had to carried off the field on a stretcher and was rushed to the hospital.

  4. The last I heard was he was starting to throw after a long period of being shut down, but he hasn't appeared in a game in forever.

The saying no news is good news doesn't apply here, IMO. I think, personally, that he's headed for TJS. Again, haven't heard anything on that being offical, but he hasn't pitched since at least June, it's been 2 months now. If his elbow was going to get better, it would've.
