Mets purchased the contract of outfielder Carlos Gomez.
Just one addition for the Mets. Gomez, 21, put together a strong finish at Double-A Binghamton to gain recognition as one of the NL's top outfield prospects. In Lastings Milledge, Gomez and Fernando Martinez, all three of the Mets' top offensive prospects are outfielders.
