  1. i can't put humber ahead of pelfrey just yet. the two of them i think re gonna be aces but i give pelfrey a tiny bit of an edge thus far. they're 1 and 1a to me though.

imo, 2007 is gonna be a very important year for mike carp. i wouldn't say it's his make or break year, but i think by the end of this season we can seriously judge him as a prospect. it really is encouraging to see the big 3 at 3, 4, 5. obviously one of them is the odd man out by 2008 or 2009 at the latest, but it sure is nice to have options.

  2. Humber's ahead because as of now, he's got 2 plus pitches, Pelfrey's got one.

  3. fair point, but pelfrey's been pitching pretty good lately even though as far as i know he is basically only using his secondary pitches, and rarely using the fastball, so he can fine tune them.

how hard does humber throw now that he's fully recovered? does he throw a couple mph harder?

  4. I still think Pelfrey>Humber based on ceiling, potential, talent, etc. Humber does have 2 plus pitches, but doesnt project out as well as pelfrey. Humber throws 93-95 as far as I know.
