  1. just some news..

Nick Evans and Dan Murphy (.292/.340/.447 – age 22) executed a double-steal with Evans swiping home for the eventual game winning run.

Catcher Sean McCraw was 2-3, with a double, RBI and two walks. The 21-year old backstop is hitting .317 in his 11 games in the FSL after hitting .272/.427/.377 in 50 games in the SAL.
#1 catcher in the system over pena..

Jim Callis called the Mets “silly” in his ESPN.com chat Wednesday for being one of the teams who refuse to sign draftees for above slot deals. It doesn’t appear that the Mets signed their 17th rounder, Brandon Efferson, whose status prompted the question.

On the other hand, the Mets did sign an 18-year old Dutch third baseman, Marinus Vernooij.

Francisco Pena left Tuesday’s Savannah’s game with what was initially described as a strained left quad.
