Actual Movement In Free Agent Market

Can you believe it? TWO players signed contracts today! That leaves about 346 remaining free agents on the market.

All horrible jokes aside, Bobby Abreu signed a 1 year $5 milish contract with the Angels. Abreu, the OBP machine who doesn't play any defense, was said to be looking for a 3 year $48 million dollar contract just a few months ago, but after a lack of interest by the entire MLB, was forced to take a 1 year contract in hopes of getting a better contract next year (he'll be 35), good luck.

So if Bobby Abreu is worth 5milish how much is Adam Dunn worth? I guess the answer is $20 million because that's how much the WASHINGTON NATIONALS signed him for. I think the Nats, considering the market, overpaid a bit, but hey, you have to do something to get someone to come play for a terrible team.

And finally, Will Ohman has received 3 offers in the past 4 days and is expected to sign with a team by tomorrow. Hopefully it's the Mets for 1 year 2 mil. I doubt it, though.
