Old news by now, but figured I'd get it up here for some actual baseball talk. 3 years 36 million, a far cry from the 5 years 70 million Boras set out for just a few months ago.
I like the contract. People are saying it's too much per year, but I'd rather pay him 2 extra mil per year than guarantee another year. He's 27 years old and pitched much better last year under Dan Warthen. While I don't think he'll ever be that ACE that he has the potential to be, I feel he'll be a solid #3 starter for the next 3 years.
O, and it doesn't hurt that he absolutely DESTROYS the Phillies and Braves.
