Jenrry Mejia had a very rough outing tonight, giving up 5 runs (3 earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings for his 5th EL loss. Mejia's had a phenominal first full season, but there should be no question as to where he should begin 2010, it should be Binghamton.

The Mets offense had just a run on 3 hits and 5 walks, while committing 4 errors. They went just 1 for 6 (.167) with RISP and left 6 on base. Kirk Nieuwenhuis, proving he is human, was 0 for 3 tonight with a walk and SB. DJ Wabick (0 for 3, run, BB, K, .286), Zach Lutz (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .000, 2 E (2)), Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 3, BB, 3 Ks, .243), Mark Kiger (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .232) and Rafael Arroyo (0 for 3, K, .000) all took 0-fers.

Robert Carson endured a very rough 2nd to last outing of the season, getting shelled for 8 hits and 7 runs (6 earned) in 4 innings for his 10th loss of the season. Carson will now have to do some heavy lifting to get his ERA (3.21) back underneath 3.00.

Armando Rodriguez had a second straight very good outing for Savannah, going the distance on a 3 hitter, but he took the loss after allowing a pair of runs on WPs. Rodriguez has now struck out 18 in 11.2 innings at Savannah.

The Gnats had just 6 hits and a walk in the game, while going 2 for 9 (.222) with RISP and leaving 5 on base. Wilmer Flores and Raul Reyes had multi hit games, while Alonzo Harris (0 for 2, run, BB, K, .200), Juan Lagares (0 for 3, K, .278), Nick Giarraputo (0 for 3, .377), Joey August (0 for 3, K, .214) and Luis Alen (0 for 3, K, .151) all took 0-fers.

Bobby Gagg picked up his 2nd NYPL victory with 2 scoreless innings in back of Chris Hilliard, who went the first 4, allowing a run on 4 hits with 3 Ks. Michael Powers pitched a perfect 9th for his 17th save.

The Conies offense had 8 hits and 6 walks in the game, and they were just 3 for 16 (.188) with RISP and left 10 on base. Jordany Valdespin (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, .280), Richard Lucas (0 for 4, BB, 2 Ks, .304) and Sam Honeck (0 for 2, BB, 2 Ks, .250) took 0-fers, while Matt Gaski (2), and Ralph Henriquez (2) had multi hit games. The Cyclones are a half game ahead of the Yankees in the McNamara division. The loser of the division will get the wildcard, barring a collapse (oh...wait).
