Chris Schwinden had a CG two hit shutout, and the Mets used two big innings (3 run 4th, 7 run 5th) to crush the SeaDogs in the first game of a twinight doubleheader, 10-0. Sean Ratliff had the only multi hit game, while DJ Wabick (0 for 1, run, K, .280) took an 0-fer after PHing for Marshall Hubbard. The Mets had 11 hits and a 5/6 BB/K ratio, while going 6 for 11 (.556) with RISP and leaving 4 on base.

One blowout deserves an equal but opposite blowout, and in Game 2, the SeaDogs dealt one to the Mets, crushing 4 pitchers for 10 runs on 13 hits and 4 walks. Scott Shaw spot started and was terrible, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks in 3 innings, and no one who followed was particularly better, except for Edgar Ramirez. The Mets offense had 5 hits and a 2/7 BB/K ratio, while going 1 for 7 (.143) with RISP and leaving 5 on base.

Wilmer Flores had an RBI single in the top of the 8th to put the Mets ahead, but it was a Carlos Beltran sac fly which provided the ultimate winning run as the Mets hung on to win 3-2. Jordany Valdespin and Beltran had the multi hit games, while Kai Gronauer, Juan Lagares, Richard Lucas and Rafael Fernandez took 0-fers. Eric Beaulac started and gave up a run on 3 hits in 5 innings but got a ND. Elvin Ramirez pitched 2 hitless innings for the win, Jose Bierd allowed a run in the 8th but got his 8th save. The Mets had 7 hits and struck out 5 times, while going 1 for 4 with RISP and leaving 5 on base.
