  1. i know people like to hate on murphy but looking at his stats in context, it doesn't look half bad. for a guy who's come from a small college program, skipped triple-A, not used to the long season, and in his first year in the majors, he's among the league leaders in doubles and doubles/ab. the 11 homers aren't that good but considering it's citifield, it doesn't seem that awful either. of course you want more from your first baseman, but it doesn't seem that bad. through natural progression, he should do much better next year with experience and some physical maturity. what do you think tejesh?

  2. I've always been a Murphy fanboy. I think he's hitting extremely well from 7/20 on, close to .300/.800 (last time I checked he was).

I think he'll hit .800+ next year, easy.
