Fernando Martinez hit a walkoff grand slam in the 9th today, helping the Bisons erase a 6-3 ninth inning deficit. Josh Thole had 3 hits and reached base all 4 times up.

A+ Florida State League: St. Lucie 6/11/4, Bradenton 5/8/1

Eric Beaulac had a rough game, but wasn't helped out at all by his defense, Jordany Valdespin in particular, who made 2 throwing errors in what will likely be his final game at shortstop. Wilfredo Tovar is set to rejoin the Mets tomorrow, he should take over the position, moving Valdespin to his natural 2b spot, shoring up the middle infield defense. Beaulac gave up 5 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks in 5.2 innings, and was in line for the win, until Stephen Clyne allowed one of his IHR to score. Clyne picked up the win, Jose Bierd his 5th save.

The Mets offense had 11 hits and drew 2 walks, while going 6 for 13 (.462) with RISP, leaving 6 on, and striking out 8 times. Stefan Welch had the only multi hit game, no Met took an 0-fer.

The Gnats offense had another offensive explosion with 14 hits and 2 walks leading to 10 runs, blowing away the Braves. Six Gnats had multi hit games, Jefry Marte had a 3 hit day. Despite the offense, Alonzo Harris took an 0-fer. Brandon Moore picked up the win with 6 good innings of work.
