Jeurys Familia had another rough outing today, giving up 6 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks in 4.1 innings for his 3rd loss of the season. Jimmy Johnson and Stephen Clyne each gave up a pair of runs in their outings to seal the Mets fates.

Fernando Martinez surprised alot of people by appearing in a rehab game today, and he collected 2 hits in 3 ABs before being replaced in the 7th inning. He played right field. Brahiam Maldondo, Stefan Welch, Sean Ratliff and Joey August had multi hit games, while Raul Reyes (0 for 2, .197), Josh Satin (0 for 3, BB, K, .311), Richard Lucas and Mike Moras (0 for 4, K, .100) all took 0-fers.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 4/8/1, Kannapolis 3/11/2 in 11 innings, Game 1

Brandon Moore had a very good outing tonight, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings with 12 Ks, but he took a ND. Darin Gorski gave up an UER in the top of the 11th (his own error), but the Gnats bailed him out with 2 in the bottom half of the inning, so he got the win with 4 innings of relief.

The Gnats had just 8 hits in 11 innings, but drew 7 walks and were 3 for 11 (.273) with RISP, left 10 on, and struck out just 5 times. Cesar Puello had the only multi hit game, while Wilmer Flores took another 0-fer, he's now down to .289, after May 16th, he was batting .364. Kai Gronauer took the only other 0-fer for the Gnats.

The Gnats offense exploded for 7 runs on 13 hits and 2 walks, while striking out just 3 times, and going 5 for 10 with RISP, and leaving 6 on base. Pedro Zapata, Michael Fisher, Juan Lagares and Dock Doyle had multi hit games, while Jefry Marte took the only 0-fer. Armando Rodriguez started and was very effective, giving up a run on 2 hits in 5 innings for his 3rd win of the season.
