AA Eastern League: Binghamton 11/14/0, Akron 6/14/2

Mark Cohoon's first AA start (jumping 2 levels in the process) was uneven, he gave up 3 in the first, then threw up 4 zeroes, before giving up a pair in the 6th. His final line reflected that unevenness, he gave up 5 runs on 11 hits in 5.2 innings, but nonetheless picked up the win as the Mets offense exploded for 14 hits and 5/5 BB/K ratio. The Mets were 5 for 12 (.417) with RISP and left 8 on base. Nick Evans had a HUGE game with 4 XBH, he, Brahiam Maldonado and Raul Reyes had multi hit games, while Sean Ratliff and Mike Nickeas (0 for 2, run, 3 BBs, .304) took 0-fers.

Brandon Moore had a good high A debut today, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings for the win, and the Mets offense had a good day with 13 hits and a 2/5 BB/K, while going 5 for 13 (.385) with RISP and leaving 5 on base. Jordany Valdespin, Carlos Beltran, Wilmer Flores and Kai Gronauer had multi hit games, while Juan Lagares took the only 0-fer.

Collin McHugh ran into 6th inning trouble, and thanks to an Alex Gregory homer, got touched up for 5 runs (1 earned) in the inning for his 6th loss of the season. The Gnats had 7 hits and a 2/3 BB/K ratio, while going hitless in 7 ABs with RISP and leaving 7 on base. Dock Doyle and Wilfredo Tovar had the only multi hit games, while Pedro Zapata, Alonzo Harris, Jefry Marte and Ryan Mollica (0 for 3, K, .000) all took 0-fers. Alonzo Harris played his first professional game in the outfield, in LF.
