Jenrry Mejia needed 44 pitches to get through 1 inning plus 2 batters, then was removed due to injury, apparently needing assistance to get off the field. The Mets did a terrific job here, from turning him into a reliever, to using him on 3 days rest as a starter...everyone involved deserves a degree in How To Wreck a Pitching Prospect 101. Lets hope we're overreacting, but it doesn't sound good

Chris Schwinden picked up the win by pitching 5 innings of relief, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits. Manuel Alvarez picked up save number 4. The Mets offense had 12 hits and a 3/11 BB/K, while going 4 for 10 with RISP and leaving 6 on base.
