Every pitcher for the Mets gave up runs, with Brad Holt giving up the first 4 to take his 2nd EL loss. It just got uglier after he left the game.

Nick Waechter gave up all 5 runs to Dunedin on 5 hits (including a homer) and 2 walks in 3.2 innings to take his first FSL loss, despite a mid 6 era.

The offense had just 3 hits, but the Mets did draw 4 walks, while going just with 1 for 2 with RISP, and leaving 4 on base. The sum total of the offense was accounted for by a pair of 4th inning 2 run homers (Zach Lutz, Francisco Pena).

Eric Beaulac got a spot start tonight and did exceptionally well, giving up just 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings, while striking out 9 for his 4th win of the season. Phillips Orta bailed out Rhiner Cruz in the 9th, after Cruz issued two walks to open the inning, Orta retired the next 3 in the row for his first save.

The Gnats offense had 9 hits and drew 2 walks, but were just 1 for 6 with RISP and left 5 on base. Wilmer Flores and Josh Satin had multi hit games for the Gnats, while Sean Ratliff's swoon continued with another 0-fer (0 for 3, RBI, 2 Ks, .274). Ratliff is now 4 for his last 35 with 12 strikeouts. He's also 0 for his last 24 with 10 Ks. Stefan Welch (0 for 4, .226), and Joey August (0 for 3, .000) also took 0-fers.

Mark Cohoon was in complete and utter control tonight, he allowed just 3 hits, all singles, over 8 innings while striking out 8 to pick up his 3rd win of the season.

The Cyclones offense was paced by a perfect night from 22 year old Luis Rivera (on base all 4 times up). Overall, the Cyclones had 7 hits and drew 4 walks, but were just 2 for 9 with RISP and left 5 on base. Ralph Henriquez (0 for 3, run, BB, .206), Alex Gregory (0 for 4, .278), and Juan Centeno (0 for 3, .323) took 0-fers, while Rivera had the only multi hit game.

The Mets pounded out 12 hits and used a 5 run top of the 9th to pull away from Burlington, winning comfortably, 10-3. After Zach Von Tersch went the first 4 innings, allowing just a hit and striking out 5, Brian Needham went the next 4, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, but it was Needham who got the win.

The Mets, as I said, had 12 hits and drew 6 walks, while going a stellar 6 for 15 with RISP, leaving 9 on base. The Mets stole 7 bases without being caught once tonight, and every regular except Tyler Howe (0 for 3, BB, .200) had a hit.
