4/15 Minor League Report! WILMER!

AAA International League: Buffalo 3/8/0, Pawtucket 2/13/0 in 10 innings

Pat Misch had a very uneven outing today, giving up 9 hits and 2 walks in 4.2 innings to take a ND. Elmer Dessens pitched 2 scoreless (9th and 10th innings) to pick up his 2nd win of the season, after Fernando Martinez had a walkoff single to score Alex Cintron. Cintron had the only multi hit game for the Bisons, who had 8 hits and 3 walks, while striking out just twice in the game. They went a dismal 1 for 12 (.083) with RISP and left 7 on base. Josh Thole and Ruben Tejada took the only 0-fers of the game.

AA Eastern League: Binghamton 7/10/0, New Hampshire 6/10/0

Scott Shaw had a poor 2nd outing in AA, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings, but he picked up his first win of the season. The bullpen was extremely shaky, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in 3 innings before John Lujan pitched a perfect 9th for his 2nd save.

The Mets hammered out 10 hits and drew one walk while striking out 8 times. They went 3 for 11 (.273) with RISP and left 8 on base. Nick Evans, Zach Lutz and Mike Nickeas had multi hit games, while Lucas Duda and Carlos Guzman took 0-fers.

Robert Carson got destroyed tonight, giving up 6 runs on 5 hits and a walk without escaping the 1st inning. Rhiner Cruz was excellent in long relief, going 4.1 innings in his longest outing in at least two seasons, he allowed an UER on 3 hits. Jimmy Johnson and Elvin Ramirez each pitched 2 scoreless, but after a huge first inning explosion of their own, the Mets were held to 6 hits and 2 walks over the next 8.2 innings by the Cardinals bullpen. Overall, the Mets had 11 hits and 3 walks, along with 14 strikeouts. They went 4 for 14 (.286) with RISP and left 8 on base.

The top 3 in the Mets order (Emmanuel Garcia, Jordany Valdespin and Stefan Welch) each had 2 hit games, along with Josh Satin. Sean Ratliff (0 for 3, BB, 2 Ks, .167), Seth Williams (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .000) and Jean Luc Blaquiere (0 for 4, 4 Ks, .227, golden sombrero) took 0-fers.

The Gnats had 5 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 6 times. They were just 1 for 7 (.149) with RISP and left 5 on base. Rafael Fernandez (0 for 3, run, BB, K, .250), Jeff Flagg (0 for 3, RBI, K, .296), Dock Doyle (0 for 3, run, BB, .182), Alex Gregory (0 for 3, RBI, K, .000) and Rylan Sandoval (0 for 2, run, .000) all took 0-fers, while Wilmer Flores had a multi hit game, and walked for the first time all season. He has not struck out in 29 ABs.
