Dillon Gee wasn't as sharp today as he was in his first two starts, and he still only allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings, and picked up his 3rd win. Bobby Parnell pitched very well tonight, as well, with 3 innings of 1 hit shutout relief.
The Bisons offense hammered out 15 hits and drew 3 walks, while going 8 for 16 with RISP, leaving 8 on base, and striking out 11 times. Jason Pridie, who is worlds better then the totally worthless Gary Matthews Jr, had a 3 hit game today. He, Chris Carter (who is infinitely better then the worthless Frank Catalanotto), Jesus Feliciano (also better then GMJ) and Andy Green (who might give Alex Cora a run for his overpaid contract) also had multi hit games. Mike Hessman (0 for 4, BB, K, .298) took the only 0-fer.

Eddie Kunz had another awful start today, he surrendered 5 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks (control is the huge issue with Kunz) in 4 innings for his 2nd loss. Edgar Ramirez put the game out of reach by allowing 5 runs (1 earned, 2 Jose Coronado errors) in his 2 innings of work.
The Mets offense had 10 hits and drew 3 walks, but struck out 9 times and were hitless in 7 ABs with RISP, while leaving 10 on base. Nick Evans snapped a 6 game hitting streak with an 0 for 4. Brahiam Maldonado also took an 0-fer, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (2), Lucas Duda (2) and Luke Montz (2) had multi hit games.

Off the top of my head, we have the first shutout of the minor league season (I could be wrong, though), as the Mets were blanked on 6 hits and 3 walks tonight. Emmanuel Garcia had the lone multi hit game, subbing for Jordany Valdespin in the leadoff spot (Valdy is out with a broken finger). Stefan Welch, Sean Ratliff (0 for 4, .204), Richard Lucas and Tony Maccani (0 for 4, K, .333) took 0-fers. Scott Moviel had a very good outing, but took a tough loss. Moviel gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.

The Gnats kept up their torrid hitting tonight, posting another 16 runs on 16 hits. Over their last 3 games, the Gnats have put up 36 runs on 46 hits. Pedro Zapata, Juan Lagares, Wilmer Flores, Rafael Fernandez, Cesar Puello and Alonzo Harris all had multi hit games tonight, while Jeff Flagg (0 for 5, BB, 2 Ks, .234), and Jefry Marte (0 for 4, run, BB, .111) took 0-fers. Taylor Whitenton (non prospect, 86-88 fastball, good change) started and went the first 2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks (horrific). Lance Hoge picked up the win, and Darin Gorski (another non prospect) picked up the save, finishing off the final 5 innings.
