Tobi Stoner had a poor outing tonight, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings for his first loss of the season. The Bisons offense had 10 hits and a walk, but were hitless with RISP (0 for 6) and left 7 on base. Fernando Martinez (2) had the only multi hit game, no Bison took an 0-fer.

Eric Niesen had a shaky outing command wise with 5 walks in 4.2 innings, but he held the Seawolves to 2 hits and 0 runs. Edgar Ramirez picked up the win with 3 scoreless in relief, John Lujan notched his first save.

The Mets had 9 hits and 6 walks, but were just 2 for 13 (.154) with RISP and left 11 on base. Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Marshall Hubbard, and Jose Coronado each had 2 hits, while Nick Evans, Luke Montz (0 for 4, K, .214), and DJ Wabick (0 for 4, K, .000) took 0-fers.

The Mets took a 9-2 lead to the 9th and saw the Cardinals bring the lead run to the plate before Manuel Alvarez struck out Domnit Bolivar with the bases loaded to end the game. Eric Beaulac started and went the first 3, giving up just a run on a hit and 2 walks. Chris Schwinden worked 4 innings of 1 run (unearned) ball for the win. Alvarez picked up his 2nd save.

The Mets had an offensive explosion (harkening back to August 2009) with 14 hits and 2 walks, while going 5 for 12 (.417) with RISP and leaving 7 on base. Brahiam Maldonado, Stefan Welch, Sean Ratliff, Richard Lucas, Raul Reyes adn Eric Campbell all had 2 hit games, Josh Satin (0 for 5, K, .389) took the only Mets 0-fer.

    What is up with Patrick Maat . He was big news when they signed him out of Australia but there has been little if anything about him since.
