Buffalo 5, Scranton 6
Brandon Knight's first start of the season was pretty bad, he surrendered 8 hits and 5 runs in 5 innings, though he did strike out 7. He escaped the loss because Kei Igawa pitched just as pitifully for the AAA Yankees (how big of a disaster was that signing, lol). Jon Switzer allowed a run in his 1.1 innings of work, taking the loss. Connor Robertson and Elmer Dessens worked 2.2 innings of 1 hit relief, but the Bisons couldn't push across the tying run.
The Bisons had just 5 hits, but 4 of them were for extra bases, and 3 of them were homers, including Fernando's first of the season. Five players took 0-fers, Cory Sullivan (0 for 4, K, .190), Jon Malo (0 for 4, .130), Rene Rivera (0 for 3, BB, 3 Ks, .167), Argenis Reyes (0 for 3, BB, K, .100) and Jose Coronado (0 for 3, K, .053), while Fernando had the only multi hit game.

Ryan Coultas' first outing in AA didn't go all that well, he surrendered 3 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 4.1 innings, but 1 of the runs was unearned, due to his own error. Tim McNab allowed a run in his 2.2 innings, and Nick Abel pitched a scoreless 8th, but the Mets generated very little offense, scraping together just 3 hits (but drawing 7 walks).
