Freddy Garcia allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in 6 inning in his first outing of the season, enough for the loss tonight, as the Bisons had another inept showing offensively, collecting 8 hits and a walk, but they were just 1 for 6 with RISP and left 7 on base.

Nick Evans' horrific nightmare continued in Buffalo with another 0-fer, with 2 more Ks. Rene Rivera (0 for 4, K, .222) and Jon Malo (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .146) also took 0-fers, while Cory Sullivan and Fernando Martinez had multi hit games.

Dylan Owen's third outing of the season was decent, definitely a step up from his last one (3 ip, 7 h, 6 er). Tonight he went 5.2 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, walking 2 and striking out 6. Edgar Alfonzo went 1.1 innings to pick up the win, and Roy Merritt went 2 for the save. The Mets had just 4 hits in the game, but drew 7 walks, however, they were just 1 for 7 with RISP, and left 9 on base.

Emmanuel Garcia (1 for 5, 2 Ks, .304), Carl Loadenthal (2 for 3, 2 runs, 3b, RBI, BB, K, .333) and Josh Petersen (1 for 2, RBI, 2 BBs, .308) had the hits for the Mets, everyone else took 0-fers.

Jenrry Mejia had a rough outing today, giving up 6 runs (5 earned) on 6 hits and 4 walks in 4.2 innings, and that combined with the Mets being 2 hit led to a very ugly 11-0 loss this morning. Matias Carrillo, Jose De La Torre and Emary Frederick all gave up runs in their outings behind Mejia, but it didn't much matter, as the offense mustered nothing all game long. Ike Davis (1 for 3, 2b, .280) and Brahiam Maldonado (1 for 3, .290) had the only hits for the Mets.

Jeurys Familia had yet another very strong outing for the Sand Gnats tonight, firing 6 innings of 2 hit 1 run ball to pick up his second win of the season, as Savannah won 4-2. Familia is now 2-0 with a sparkling 0.63 era in 3 outings (2 starts, 1 piggyback). The offense did enough to support him, but despite 11 hits and 3 walks, they were 2 for 10 with RISP and left 9 on base.

Jordany Valdespin, Wilmer Flores, Eric Campbell and Josh Satin all had multi hit games for the Gnats, while Jefry Marte and Juan Lagares (0 for 2, run, BB, .233) took the only 0-fers.
