Buffalo 1, Syracuse 7
Freddy Garcia's turn tonight. Boy this is getting ugly, as ugly as the St. Lucie Mets last April (remember they lost 500 in a row?). The Bisons, in addition to getting a miserable outing from Garcia (who is now contemplating retirement), had just 2 hits, a homer from Cory Sullivan (1 for 4, run, HR, RBI, .231) leading off the game, and a single from Jose Coronado (1 for 3, BB, .109). About the only good news for the Bisons is that it is statistically impossible for Nick Evans to ever end up at .000 (though he is trying).

St. Lucie 1, Jupiter 2 in 11 innings
The Mets committed 4 errors, and allowed 2 unearned runs in a 2-1 loss to the Hammerheads. Jacob Elgsti committed the game loser in the top of the 11th, but it was a passed ball by Francisco Pena and then a missed catch by Greg Veloz which set the stage for Jupiter's first run of the game.
Jenrry Mejia started and was very good over 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and that UER, striking out 5. after 2 scoreless innings from Nick Waechter and Jose De La Torre, Emary Frederick pitched a scoreless 10th, before Elgsti's error earned him a tough L.
The Mets faced the practically unhittable Kyle Winters tonight, who over his first 4 FSL starts this year, has allowed a grand total of 18 hits and 1 run over 26 innings, for a 0.35 era. Tonight he and 2 relievers allowed just 6 hits and a run to the Mets, who went 0 for 3 with RISP and left 6 men on base.
