Binghamton 5, Trenton 3
Welcome back. Long, eventful winter, one of my favorites is gone (Mike Carp) - but I shall endure!
Michael Antonini got the opening day start for the BMets, he went 4.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, striking out 4. Eric Brown worked 2 scoreless innings to pick up the win, Roy Merritt picked up his first save with a perfect 9th, striking out a pair.
Offensively, the top 4 in the BMets order (Emmanuel Garcia, Ruben Tejada, Josh Thole and Shawn Bowman) were a combined 9 for 18 with 4 RBI. Lucas Duda (0 for 4, BB, 2 Ks) and DJ Wabick (0 for 4) took 0-fers.
