Buffalo 3, Scranton 5 in 11 innings
Jon Niese's second start of the season was a bit better then his first (not that that's saying much...), he allowed 8 hits and 3 runs (2 earned, thanks to a PB and error by Omir Santos), over 5 innings. Eddie Kunz worked 3 scoreless innings behind Niese, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5. Carlos Muniz took the loss, giving up 2 runs in his 3rd inning of work.
The Bisons had 11 hits and 4 walks, but left 13 men on base and were 3 for 14 with RISP. Nick Evans (0 for 4, run, 2 BBs, .083) and Jose Coronado (0 for 4, RBI, BB, K, .043) took 0-fers, while Jesus Feliciano, Michel Abreu and Argenis Reyes had multi hit games.

Kyle Allen gave up 7 runs in 2.2 innings tonight, which proved to be 1 too many for the Gnats offense to overcome. Allen's first taste of A ball was as bad as Robert Carson's was a couple of nights ago. Wendy Rosa pitched 1.1 innings of perfect relief, then Eric Beaulac piggybacked and finished the game with 4 shutout innings, allowing the Gnats to claw back into the game, but they could not get over the hump.
Jordany Valdespin and Wilmer Flores had multi hit games, while Jean Luc Blaquiere (0 for 3, BB, K, .125) and Josh Satin (0 for 3, BB, 3 Ks, .400) took 0-fers.
