The Mets used a 9 run 2nd inning to propel themselves to victory tonight, 11-2. Richard Lucas, Stefan welch and Josh Satin had 2 run doubles, Satin had another RBI double later on in the inning. Robert Carson cruised in the game, giving up just 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings for his 4th win of the season. Overall, the Mets had 13 hits and 4 walks in the game, and though they did strike out 10 times, they were a terrible 8 for 13 (.615) with RISP, and left just 5 on base.

By my count, this is the 4th Gnats game to go 13+ innings this season, and they're 2-2 in such games, including 1-1 in 18 inning games (would that be 2-2?). Brandon Sage picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings, after Collin McHugh had an OUTSTANDING piggyback effort, with 6 innings of 4 hit 1 run ball. Armando Rodriguez started and was meh, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings, he took a ND.

The Gnats offense had 11 hits and 3 walks in 14 innings, and struck out just 10 times, while going 4 for 13 (.308) with RISP, and leaving 10 on base. Pedro Zapata (walkoff single) and Cesar Puello had multi hit games, while Nick Santomauro and Rafael Fernandez took 0-fers.

5/24 Minor League Report! KYLE ALLEN!

There's a rain delay in Savannah right now. It's 2-2 in the 13th inning, and who knows when it'll resume, or if it will, so I'm gonna go ahead and post the report as is. I'll put the Savannah game at the top of tomorrow's report.

AAA International League: Buffalo 3/8/1, LeHigh Valley 6/11/1

Bobby Parnell continues to pitch very ... weirdly. Including tonight, he's gone 24.2 innings in AAA, with 14 walks and 27 strikeouts, but has an ERA over 5. Dylan Owen's second AA outing was good, he gave up 2 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings, but he took a ND after Jose De La Torre gave up 2 runs (1 earned) over his inning. Ruben Tejada had another hit today, he's now got a 6 game hitting streak, and is 9 for 20 over the 6 games.

Does ANYONE in this organization have brains? ANYONE!

I'm beginning to think the answer to that is clearly NO. Obviously Jerry is an absolute fucking retard, so we won't even talk about him. Danny boy Warthen is a dumb fuck, as well. Howard Johnson...what have you done to David Wright?

Now, lets get down to specifics. Why exactly is Jenrry Mejia in the major leagues? Is it his brilliant 1.70 WHIP? (20 ip, 22 h, 12/15 bb/k) He's not nearly as dominant as he should be, considering his stuff. He can get his fastball up to 98 MPH, cut it, sink it, make it look like a slider, a splitter, he's got a curveball in the high 70s, and an actual slider in the mid 80s. Yet, he's got a 117 ERA+, and 3.60 era overall, with more hits then innings pitched. Hmmm...why is this...oh yeah. HE'S 20 FUCKING YEARS OLD YOU FUCKING MORONS! HE SHOULD BE IN THE MINOR LEAGUES STARTING! For this alone, Jerry and Omar should be fired/hanged/put to death or whatever.

How about our stellar bench? Has anyone seen/heard from Chris Carter? Mr. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha's buried him already in favor of his favorite go to pinch hitter Gary Matthews Jr (he of the terrific .182/.250/.212/.462 line in 55 ABs. I lied when I said I wouldn't talk about how fucking retarded this piece of shit in the dugout is, sorry. I hate him MORE then I hate the Philthies, this motherfucker's sabotaging us from the inside, at least that team's JOB is to beat us.

What would I do if given unilateral power right now?

1. FIRE Jerry
2. Option Mejia to Binghamton, recall Bobby Parnell
3. Opton Dessens to Buffalo on 5/26, 60 day DL Beltran, purchase Dillon Gee
4. Exile GMJ (thus removing him from the 40 man), purchase Jesus Feliciano
5. DFA Fernando Tatis (thus removing him from the 40 man), purchase Mike Hessman
6. DL Luis Castillo, recall Ruben Tejada
7. Use Carter/Francoeur in a RF platoon, Feliciano defensive replacement for Carter

Santana, Pelfrey, Niese, Gee, Takahashi
Dickey, Valdes, Parnell, Igarashi, Feliciano, Nieve, KRod
Reyes, Pagan, Bay, Davis, Wright, Pagan, Carter, Tejada, Barajas
Hessman, Cora, Feliciano, Francoeur/Carter, Blanco

By the way, if Omar's really been cut off from his power, and he can't do a thing about this Mejia garbage, he needs to go, as he is totally and utterly USELESS. And whoever is running the show (Ricco, Jeffy boy) is a fucking moron.

The Mets were 0 for 4 with RISP, left 5 on base, and struck out just 4 times, and Schwinden went 6 innings for the win. The Tigers were futile with RISP, going 3 for 14, and left 14 on base. Met pitching allowed 13 hits and walked 5, but only gave up 2 runs, with Carson getting his 3rd win.

The Mets had 10 hits and drew a walk, and unlike their counterparts, they hit well (4 for 9, .444) with RISP, and left 5 on base, with 6 Ks. Wilfredo Tovar snapped out of his slump that we detailed yesterday with a multi hit game. Joey August, and Richard Lucas also had multi hit games. Michael Powers had a truly disasterous outing today, taking a 6-2 lead in the 9th, and giving up 4 in that inning to leave it tied, then giving up the game winner in the 11th, taking the loss. Why he was left in to absorb all that is anyone's guess. We can, however, confirm Jerry Manuel was in New York at the time. That wrecked a very good outing from Mark Cohoon, who scattered 7 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings.

The Gnats offense had 10 hits and 4 walks, while going 5 for 16 (.312) with RISP, leaving 11 on base, and striking out just 5 times. Jefry Marte and Kai Gronauer had multi hit games for the Gnats.

Jerry Manuel

Is the worst manager in baseball. Hands down.

At this point the Mets are getting hard to watch. We should have cleaned house a long time ago, yet they've still been making the same mistakes since 2007.

I feel like Jerry is almost trying to get fired with the lineups he puts out there. It's almost comical how he refuses to put his best hitters at the top of the lineup, and has to have his 2B hit second. Too bad that same thought process doesn't go along with his 3rd baseman.

This organization from top to bottom is a joke. We've actually developed some good prospects, but just like Mejia now, I have no confidence in the Mets developing any of them correctly.

It starts all the way up top with the Wilpon's. I don't care how high our payroll is. They are still shitty owners. Their refusal to cut people because of the money they are on the books for continues to take a toll on the team.

Then there's Omar. He's just stupid.

And I don't have enough time to rip apart Jerry Manuel. But, Lets not leave HOJO and Dan Warthen out of this. They suck too.
