A South Atlantic League: Savannah 5/11/1, Kannapolis 4/12/3 in 14 innings
By my count, this is the 4th Gnats game to go 13+ innings this season, and they're 2-2 in such games, including 1-1 in 18 inning games (would that be 2-2?). Brandon Sage picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings, after Collin McHugh had an OUTSTANDING piggyback effort, with 6 innings of 4 hit 1 run ball. Armando Rodriguez started and was meh, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings, he took a ND.
The Gnats offense had 11 hits and 3 walks in 14 innings, and struck out just 10 times, while going 4 for 13 (.308) with RISP, and leaving 10 on base. Pedro Zapata (walkoff single) and Cesar Puello had multi hit games, while Nick Santomauro and Rafael Fernandez took 0-fers.
