5/2 Minor League Report! Gee, Moviel!

AAA International League: Buffalo 6/12/0, Louisville 4/14/0 in 10 innings.

Dillon Gee was very uneven today, he surrendered 10 hits and a walk in 6.2 innings, but held Louisville to just 2 runs, getting a ND. John Lujan, despite giving up 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning, picked up the win after heroics by Mike Hessman and Chris Carter. Hessman, who'd earlier in the game hit a 2 run homer to tie the game at 2, hit a 2 run single to tie it at 4 in the 10th. Carter followed with a walkoff 2 run homer for the win.

Jason Pridie, Andy Green, Mike Jacobs, Mike Hessman, and Chris Carter (the first 5 batters in the Bisons lineup) all had multi hit games, accounting for 11 of the 12 Bison hits, and all 6 runs. Mike Cervanek (0 for 2, .228), Jesus Feliciano (0 for 2, .359), and Ruben Tejada took 0-fers amongst the regulars. The Bisons had 12 hits, but were a woeful 2 for 17 (.118) with RISP, and left 6 on base, while striking out 8 times.

Michael Antonini pitched well today, giving up a run on 5 hits in 5.2 innings for his 3rd win of the season. Jose De La Torre continued to dominate, with another 1.2 scoreless innings today, he has a 0.59 era for Binghamton.

The Mets had 6 hits and drew 8 walks, while going just 2 for 12 with RISP, leaving 9 on base and striking out 6 times. Scott Moviel had the best outing of his season today, giving up 3 runs (1 earned, Sean Ratliff error), on 5 hits and ONE walk (most important with the St. Lucie staff right now) for his first win of the season. Met pitching only walked 3 tonight, an improvement over the previous 20 games. Met hitters exploded for 12 hits and 3 walks, while going 4 for 13 (.308) with RISP, leaving 7 on base, and striking out just 4 times. Emmanuel Garcia, Eric Campbell and Sean Ratliff had multi hit games, no Met took a 0-fer.
