AAA International League: Buffalo 4/8/0, LeHigh Valley 1/3/2
Dillon Gee had a very good outing today, allowing just a run on 3 hits and 3 walks in 6.2 innings for his 5th win of the season. Josh Thole and Ruben Tejada each got on base twice with a hit and walk, both continuing their red hot Mays.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis had a 3rd inning homer, and the Mets, despite getting just 5 hits, drew 4 walks and parlayed it into 3 runs, enough to make a winner out of Chris Schwinden in his AA debut. The Mets were 0 for 4 with RISP, left 5 on base, and struck out just 4 times, and Schwinden went 6 innings for the win. Luis Hernandez (0 for 3, BB, K, .284), Eric Campbell, Carlos Guzman and Mike Nickeas (0 for 4, .311) took 0-fers. No Met had a multi hit game.

Robert Carson danced into and out of trouble all night, surviving 6 innings (somehow), while allowing 9 hits and 3 walks, but only 2 runs, thanks to 2 double plays and a pickoff. The Tigers were futile with RISP, going 3 for 14, and left 14 on base. Met pitching allowed 13 hits and walked 5, but only gave up 2 runs, with Carson getting his 3rd win.
The Mets had 10 hits and drew a walk, and unlike their counterparts, they hit well (4 for 9, .444) with RISP, and left 5 on base, with 6 Ks. Wilfredo Tovar snapped out of his slump that we detailed yesterday with a multi hit game. Joey August, and Richard Lucas also had multi hit games. Josh Satin (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .320) and Raul Reyes (0 for 4, .184) took 0-fers.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 6/10/0, Charleston 7/13/3 in 11 innings
Michael Powers had a truly disasterous outing today, taking a 6-2 lead in the 9th, and giving up 4 in that inning to leave it tied, then giving up the game winner in the 11th, taking the loss. Why he was left in to absorb all that is anyone's guess. We can, however, confirm Jerry Manuel was in New York at the time. That wrecked a very good outing from Mark Cohoon, who scattered 7 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings.
The Gnats offense had 10 hits and 4 walks, while going 5 for 16 (.312) with RISP, leaving 11 on base, and striking out just 5 times. Jefry Marte and Kai Gronauer had multi hit games for the Gnats.
