It was Jose Sanchez today who had a very good start for the Mets, he went 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and a run, and the Mets gave him just enough offense to get his 3rd win of the season. Eude Brito and Eddie Kunz finished off the game, with Kunz picking up his 6th save.

Very quietly, not with the hype of a Jon Niese or Bobby Parnell, or the "notice factor" of a Angel Calero or Michael Antonini, Tobi Stoner is putting together a very nice first 4 starts for the Mets. He's 1-2, but he's got a 2.66 era, allowed a hit per innings, and has a BB/K ratio of 4/21 in 20.1 innings. He's 23 1/2 years old, a bit old for high A, but if he keeps pitching like this, he should be in Binghamton before too long. Today, he went 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs (1 earned), with 1 walk and 5 Ks. Ryan Coultas allowed an unearned run, and then Corey Hoorelbeke allowed 4 runs (2 earned) and 6 hits over his 1.2 innings, taking the loss.
Every regular had a hit for St. Lucie, and Luis Rivera, Lucas Duda and JR Voyles recorded had multi-hit games.
