5/22 Afternoon Minor League Report! MURPHY!

Today's Song: Depeche Mode - The Things You Said

New Orleans 2, Oklahoma 6

The Zs have now dropped 9 of 10 and are 21-25 with today's loss. Adam Bostick started and got whalloped for 6 runs on 6 hits in just 1.1 innings. His ERA is now over 6. Nelson Figueroa had a very good outing in long relief, going 4.2 innings allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5. Nate Field and Carlos Muniz each pitched a scoreless inning, but it was too little too late.

The Zs did pound out 12 hits, but only had 2 runs to show for it. Argenis Reyes, Abraham Nunez and Mike Nickeas had multi hit games, while Michel Abreu (0 for 4, K, .223) and Victor Mendez (0 for 3, BB, K, .268) took 0-fers.

The problem today, aside from Jose Sanchez giving up 6 runs in 4.1 innings? The 3-4-5 in the BMets order (Evans, Carp, Concepcion) went 1 for 14 with 3 Ks. Sanchez was the bigger issue, obviously, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits (2 homers) and a walk in just 4.1 innings.

NIck Evans (0 for 5, 2 Ks, .287), Mike Carp (0 for 4, BB, K, .331) and Jose Coronado (0 for 3, BB, K, .245) took 0-fers, while Emmanuel Garcia, Dan Murphy, Saloman Manriquez and Eric Reed had multi hit games.
