Zs trailed from the getgo and showed very little offensively, putting up 2 in the 6th. Tony Armas gave up 3 in 6 innings, and got his 3rd loss of the season. Victor Mendez and Anderson Machado took 0-fers, the Zs are now a .500 team @ 16-16.

After 3 straight horrific nightmares of pitching, the Mets pitching collectively stepped up and allowed a run on 9 hits (but an ugly 10 walks), in 12 innings, and did just enough offensively to pull out the victory, on a Caleb Stewart homer. Nick Evans also homered, and that was the sum total of the Met offense, who are now 12-20.

The bottom of the Mets order was 5 for 8 with 2 homers and 4 RBI, driving the offense. The Mets are 8-24.

Maikel Cleto got bombed for 5 runs and 9 hits over 5 innings, and Wendy Rosa was worse, giving up 4 hits and 5 runs over just 0.1 innings, and the Gnats dropped to 12-20 with the loss. Greg Veloz powered a Gnats offense that put up 7 runs and 16 hits, but it would not be enough on this night.
