Kingsport 2, Danville 1 in 10 innings

It may be time, despite him being just 16 years old, to move Wilmer Flores to a higher league. In the 10th inning tonight with runners on 1st and 2nd and 2 down, Flores was intentionally walked to bring up Jean Luc Blaquiere, who singled to win it. If the Appy League is scared of Wilmer, he's got nothing left to prove down there. Dan Stegall and Imbewer Alvarez had multi hit games for the Mets, while Stephen Welch (0 for 4, .351), Gabriel Zavala (0 for 3, K, .306), and Mike Moras (0 for 4, K, .158) took 0-fers.

Collin McHugh had a good outing for his 4 innings, allowing just 2 hits. Mark Cohoon followed with 3 outstanding innings of relief, allowing just 2 more hits. Michael Powers blew the 1-0 lead handed to him, allowing a run in the top of the 9th. Erik Turgeon got the win with a scoreless 10th.
