Jose Sanchez had another very bad outing for the Mets, giving up all 6 runs on 8 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings, ballooning his ERA to 6.59, and running his record to 1-5.
The offense never really had a chance, they were down 6-0 after 3 innings. They did rally for 3 in the 6th, but couldn't get much else. They had 10 hits and a walk, but were just 3 for 15 with RISP, and left 7 men on base. The Mets were paced by the bottom of their 789 hitters (Wabick, Tejada, Garcia) who were a combined 7 for 11 with 3 runs scored. Josh Thole also had a multi hit game, Lucas Duda (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .281) and Shawn Bowman (0 for 3, BB, K, .286), hitting 4th and 5th, were a combined 0 for 7. Jose Coronado (0 for 3, K, .400) also took an 0-fer.

Jenrry Mejia dominated the Miracle tonight, giving up just a run on 3 hits in 7 innings for his 3rd FSL victory. Manuel Alvarez bailed Nick Carr out of a his jam, then pitched a scoreless 9th for his 2nd save.
The Mets offense pounded out 11 hits and drew 3 walks, and were a solid 4 for 12 with RISP, leaving just 5 on base. Hector Pellot, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Zach Lutz and Carlos Guzman had multi hit games, while Reese Havens (0 for 4, .246) and Francisco Pena (0 for 4, .196) took 0-fers.

Rhiner Cruz gave up the deciding run in the 12th, without allowing a hit. He walked 3 and was pulled for Michael Powers, who almost extracted the Gnats from the disaster, but allowed a run to score. Jeurys Familia started and was very out outside of one bad inning (the 3rd), overall, he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits in 5 innings.
The Gnats had 12 hits and drew 7 walks, but were an abysmal 3 for 16 with RISP, and left a staggering 16 on base. Jordany Valdespin, Juan Lagares, Eric Campbell and Wilmer Flores had multi hit games, while Sean Ratliff (0 for 6, 2 Ks, .335) took the only 0-fer.
