Brandon Knight had an outstanding start this afternoon, firing 7 innings of 5 hit shutout ball as the Bisons won for the 2nd time in 3 games, 4-1 over the Bats. Fernando Martinez had another huge day with 3 hits, including his 10th double and 3rd homer. Martinez has raised his average 54 points in the last 4 games (going 8 for 14 with 2 2b, 2 HR and 5 RBI in that span). Ramon Martinez, in his season debut, also had a multi hit game. Willy Mo Pena (0 for 3, RBI, .313), Mike Lamb (0 for 4, .095), and Robinson Cancel (0 for 3, BB, .205) took 0-fers.

Dylan Owen had another rough outing today, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs in 5 innings (leaving him with a very evil ERA), to pick up his 2nd loss, as the Mets lost again to New Hampshire, 4-3.

The Mets had their 5 game winning streak snapped today, as Scott Shaw turned in a very uneven performance, surrendering 4 runs on 6 hits (including 2 homers) in 6 innings.
