Fernando Nieve had a second straight good outing in AAA, again giving up 2 runs in 6 innings, and again picking up the win. Elmer Dessens gave up a run in the 9th, but picked up his 4th save of the season.

The Bison offense had 8 hits and 2 walks, and also took advantage of an error in scoring 5 runs. They were 3 for 10 with RISP and left 5 men on base. Cory Sullivan, Rene Rivera and Jesus Feliciano had multi hit games, while Michel Abreu (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .205), Mark Kiger (0 for 1, K, .000) and Jon Malo (0 for 1, run, .184) took 0-fers.

Dylan Owen had another wholly ineffective outing (though this time it was one nightmare inning which plagued him), he gave up 6 runs (all in the 5th inning) on 8 hits and 2 walks.

The Mets offense had just 5 hits on the day, and were 0 for 4 with RISP, leaving 3 on base. Josh Thole had the only multi hit game. Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 4, K, .255), Nick Evans (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .167), Shawn Bowman (0 for 3, RBI, .283), Carl Loadenthal (0 for 3, .248) and Jose Coronado (0 for 3, K, .241) all took 0-fers. Evans is 2 for 12 since joining Binghamton.

Brad Holt was dominant today, striking out 10 in 6 innings and allowing just a run on 4 hits for his 3rd FSL victory. Taking out his abomination to open the season, Holt is now 3-0 with a 1.42 era in 6 starts, and has struck out 39 in 31.2 innings.

The Mets offense pounded out 11 hits and drew 2 walks, but were just 2 for 11 with RISP, and left 8 on base. The top 2 in the order (Veloz, Guzman) were a combined 5 for 10. Francisco Pena also had a multi hit game, while Zach Lutz (0 for 4, run, BB, K, .246) and Ike Davis (0 for 4, RBI, 2 Ks, .282) took 0-fers.
