Jon Niese got absolutely blitzed tonight, giving up 12 hits and 9 runs (7 earned) in 3.2 innings, in what was his worst professional outing.

The offense did manage a whole 4 runs on 8 hits and 7 walks, but Niese gave them no chance at anything. Cory Sullivan, Fernando Martinez and Rene Rivera had multi hit games, while Willy Mo Pena (0 for 5, .213), Javier Valentin (0 for 2, 2 BBs, .292) and Mike Lamb (0 for 4, .167) took 0-fers, they were the 345 hitters for Buffalo. Jesus Feliciano (0 for 3, 2 runs, BB, .260) also took an 0-fer. The Bisons were just 2 for 10 with RISP and left 9 men on base.

Tobi Stoner had a very good outing for Binghamton tonight, giving up just 2 runs on 4 hits in 6.2 innings, but a stacked Mets lineup could only generate one run themselves, losing 3-1.

That stacked Mets offense, which featured Nick Evans at first base, was held to just 7 hits and a walk, and were a paltry 0 for 3 with RISP, and left 5 on base. The aforementioned Evans accounted for the only Mets run with a 4th inning homer. Emmanuel Garcia had the only multi hit game, while Lucas Duda (playing left field; 0 for 4, 2 Ks, .281), Jose Coronado (0 for 3, K, .271) and Ruben Tejada (0 for 2, K, .232) took 0-fers.

The Mets offense had just 4 hits, but drew 6 walks, and were a dreadful 1 for 7 with RISP and left 9 on base. Carlos Guzman (1 for 3, 2b, BB, .288), Ike Davis (1 for 4, .297), Matt Bouchard (1 for 2, run, 2b, 2 BBs, K, .214) and Brahiam Maldonado (1 for 4, RBI, 2 Ks, .207) had the hits, everyone else took 0-fers.

Jeff Kaplin allowed a run on 6 hits in 5 innings to take a ND, Rhiner Cruz picked up the win, despite allowing a run on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. Jimmy Johnson picked up his 3rd save with 1.2 scoreless innings.

The Gnats offense pounded out 11 hits and drew a walk in going 4 for 8 with RISP. They left 5 on base. The top 3 in the order each had multi hit games (Valdespin, Fernandez, Satin), combining to go 6 for 12 with 3 runs scored. Juan Lagares also had a multi hit game, while Sean Ratliff (0 for 3, RBI, BB, .329), and Kai Gronauer (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .239) took 0-fers.
