Angel Calero had a good bounceback outing last night, off a couple of very very rough starts (7.2 ip, 13 h, 10 er, 7/4 bb/k, 0-2, 11.74 era). Tonight, he gave up 8 hits and 4 runs (1 earned; 2 Greg Veloz errors and a Hector Pellot error lead to the 3 UER), over 6 innings. Emary Frederick gave up a run in the 8th to take his 4th loss.
The Mets offense had 10 hits and drew 5 walks, and were a very good 4 for 13 (.308) with RISP, but left 10 men on base. Ike Davis, Matt Bouchard and Richard Pena had multi hit games, while Veloz (0 for 4, run, BB, K, .263) and Zach Lutz (0 for 4, BB, K, .245) took 0-fers.
