Ike Davis' AA debut was perfect, he was on base all 4 of his plate appearances, 2 singles and 2 walks, and also chipped in an RBI, but it was in a losing cause as Jenrry Mejia got roughed up for 6 runs (5 earned, his own error) in 5.2 innings to take his 3rd EL loss without a win. By the way, I still agree with the promotion, he was dominating the FSL, it's good to see him struggling at the higher level, lets see him making adjustments to his game, and remember, he's only 19, there's plenty of time for him. I would, however, keep him in Binghamton all season, no matter what groove he gets into.
The Mets had 11 hits and 2 walks on the day, but were only 2 for 6 with RISP, and left 7 on base. 5 players had multi hit games, while 3 took 0-fers: Lucas Duda (0 for 4, K, .278), Jose Coronado (0 for 3, RBI, .262), and Ruben Tejada (0 for 4, .279).

Scott Shaw surrendered 3 runs on 3 hits and 6 walks in just 2.2 innings to take his 4th loss of the season, and the Mets bullpen furthered the damage by allowing 4 runs in their 6.1 innings (all by Tim Stronach and Jimmy Johnson). Met pitching walked 8 today.
The Mets offense had 11 hits on the day, and were 3 for 8 with RISP, but left 8 on base. Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Brahiam Maldonado and Hector Pellot had multi hit games, while Francisco Pena (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .223), and Jordan Abruzzo (0 for 4) took 0-fers.

Brandon Moore was excellent in his season debut, firing a 4 hitter over 7 innings to pick up the win. Wes Wrenn's pro debut was awful, he gave up 3 runs in 2 innings.
The Cyclones had 7 hits and 5 walks, and were 4 for 11 (.364) with RISP, though they did leave 8 on base. Sam Honeck (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, .333), Nick Giarraputo (0 for 3, run, BB, .231) and Luis Nieves (0 for 3, run, BB, .125) took 0-fers, while Juan Centeno had the only multi hit game for the Cyclones.
I'd just like to say, there is virtually NO juice here whatsoever for prospect lovers to sink their teeth into, as Freddy and Jeffy and Saul must have their pwecious wittle Cycwones win, rather then have good prospects on the team.

Guillaume LeDuc didn't pitch well at all, but he was the beneficiary of alot of run support, so he opened his season with a win. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 homers in 5 innings.
