It was another bullpen by committee day for the BMets, with 4 relievers pitching the game, the win went to Michael Antonini (3 innings, 1 hit), the save to 30 year old Jim Warden (why exactly is he in Binghamton...or for that matter, in the organization?)

The offense for the Mets had 9 hits, but more importantly, 12 walks, en route to 6 runs. However, they were an atrocious 2 for 13 (.154) with RISP, and left 14 men on base. The Mets offense had 9 hits and 3 walks, and were a good 3 for 8 (.375) with RISP, despite leaving 6 on base, and having 2 runners thrown out stealing. Elvin Ramirez had yet another poor outing today, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 3.1 innings to take the loss, his 7th of the season. His June ERA stands at 5.64, and he's 0-4 in the month. Over his last 6 starts, dating back to May 30th, he's given up 18 earned runs in 27.1 innings, a 5.93 era. Phillips Orta and Manuel Olivares followed with equally poor outings, putting the game well out of reach.

The Gnats offense had 10 hits on the game, but were a pathetic 0 for 8 with RISP and left 9 on base. The KMets pitching and defense has been absolutely putrid to start the season, they surrendered 10 more runs tonight, and have now given up a staggering 59 runs in their first 6 games, 12 of then unearned. It was Guillaume LeDuc tonight, giving up 7 runs (6 earned) in 4.1 innings to take his first loss. Julio Bello allowed 3 runs in 3.2 innings for good measure.
