Binghamton 1, Connecticut 0, in 8 innings, Game 1
Jenrry. Mejia.
Mejia was absolutely incredible in his AA debut, firing 7 shutout innings, allowing just 5 hits and 3 walks, and generating 11 groundball outs, but unfortunately, the Mets didn't score until he was pinch hit for and out of the game, so the win went to Roy Merritt, who pitched a scoreless top of the 8th.
The Mets offense was held to just 8 hits, a walk and a run, and were a brutal 1 for 10 with RISP, leaving 7 on base. Lucas Duda had the only multi hit game for the Mets, while Nick Evans and Josh Thole took 0-fers. Thole is in a 0 for 9 slump.

Binghamton 3, Connecticut 5, in 10 innings, Game 2
Michael Antonini had a very good outing tonight, giving up just 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings, but the Mets fell in extra innings, 5-3, splitting their doubleheader. Edgar Ramirez gave up a run in the 9th, but the Mets tied it, before Julio De La Cruz (who's been pitching AWFULLY of late (8 ER in his last 3.1 innings, nifty 21.60 era, and an 0-3 record)) gave up 2 runs in the 10th for his 4th loss on the season, 3rd in his last 3 outings).
The Mets offense had 9 hits and 4 walks in the contest, but were just 1 for 6 with RISP and left 9 on base. Salvador Paniagua had the only multi hit game for the Mets, while Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 4, BB, .275), Lucas Duda (0 for 4, RBI, .292), Jose Coronado (0 for 2, .222), Carl Loadenthal (0 for 3, run, BB, K, .242) all took 0-fers.

Nick Carr's first start of the season was a rough one, as he gave up 4 runsd on 6 hits in 5 innings (longest outing of the season), but he did strike out 7 and pick up the win as his offense backed him up.
The Mets had 7 hits and 4 walks, but parlayed that into 7 runs, despite going a putrid 3 for 15 with RISP, they left 5 on base. Francisco Pena and Brahiam Maldonado (GS in the 3rd) had multi hit games, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 4, run, BB, K, .261), Carlos Guzman (0 for 3, run, RBI, BB, K, .289), Hector Pellot (0 for 4, K, .250) and Richard Pena (0 for 4, .053) all took 0-fers.

Jeurys Familia had an AWFUL outing tonight, his second straight subpar outing (9.1 ip, 20 h, 11 er, 3/6 bb/k, 10.61 era). He gave up 5 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings tonight, but was bailed out by the Gnats offense, and actually left with the lead (6-5). Manuel Olivares came in, allowed an IHR to score, and then 3 of his own over 1.2 innings, to take the loss.
The Gnats took advantage of 5 Augusta errors to score 5 UER, but it turned out not to be enough. They also had 9 hits and 2 walks on the game, and were 5 for 12 with RISP, while leaving 7 on base. Josh Satin, Sean Ratliff and Wilmer Flores all had multi hit games for the Mets, while Rafael Fernandez (0 for 5, run, K, .251), Jefry Marte, and Raul Reyes (0 for 4, K, .287) all took 0-fers.
