Jose Sanchez had a chance to tie the BMets franchise record for wins today (the record is 14, held by Bill Pulsipher and Cory Lidle), but he was not on top of his game at all, surrendering 9 hits and 4 runs in 5 innings to end his season at 13-7 with a 3.83 era. Elvys Quezada worked the final 3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 3 runs.
According to Joe Demayo, Fernando Martinez' HR was "a bomb, and I mean a bomb". He hit off RockCat starter Ryan Mullins, a lefty. Mike Carp had 2 hits, and hit one to the warning track in left. Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 4, K, .243), Caleb Stewart (0 for 4, K, .282) and Josh Petersen (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .297) took 0-fers.

Scott Moviel and 4 relievers combined on a 5 hit shutout of the Matinees in the Mets last series of the season. Moviel's first high A start was great, he allowed just 2 hits and a walk over 5 innings to pick up his first FSL win, 10th overall. Moviel ends his season at 10-8, 4.25 era. Nick Waechter picked up the save with a scoreless 9th.
The offense had 9 hits and 2 walks, but only plated one, due to 2 pickoffss (both Duda), one DP and 8 LOB. Marlin Anderson and Jason Jacobs had multi hit games, while Greg Veloz (0 for 3, K, .219), Ruben Tejada (0 for 4, K, .229) and Luis Alen (0 for 2, K, .105) took 0-fers. Josh Thole drove in the only run of the game in the 4th inning.

Michael Olmsted's final outing of the season didn't go nearly as well as he would've liked, he got blitzed for 9 hits and 4 runs in 4.1 innings. He ends his injury plagued first full season with a 2-1 record, and a 2.67 era in 33.2 ip innings split between the GCL (4.2 ip), Kingsport (19.2 ip), Savannah (9.1 ip). Michael Powers took the loss, allowing a solo HR in the 10th.
The offense had just 4 hits, but drew 7 walks in putting 4 across the plate. Stefan Welch had a big game in his 3rd start for Savannah, going 2 for 4 with 2 XBH and 3 RBI. He was the only one to have a multi hit game for the Gnats, who had just 3 players record hits. Welch with 2, Richard Pena (1 for 5, 2 Ks, .204) and Francisco Pena (1 for 4, RBI, BB, .267) with 1 apiece. Everyone else took 0-fers.

The Cyclones kept it rolling tonight with a 5-4 extra inning win, their 7th in a row. The Cyclones are 4 games out of the division, where the Yankees also continue to win with 5 in a row, and just a game out of the wildcard, where Batavia's lost it's last game.
Chris Schwinden went 5, allowing 7 hits and 3 runs (2 earned), with 8 Ks. Jim Fuller pitched 1.2 perfect innings in relief to earn the win after Roy Merritt blew the save in the 7th inning. Yury Santana picked up his 12th save.
Eric Campbell, Jordan Abruzzo and Ike Davis had multi hit games for the Cyclones, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 5, 3 Ks, .280) and Jose Jimenez (0 for 5, K, .227) took 0-fers.
