The BMets put up 6 runs in innings 3&4, en route to an 8-2 rout of New Hampshire tonight. Jose Sanchez started and was excellent over 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits, striking out 11, picking up his 11th win.
The offense had just 7 hits, but worked out 9 walks and took advantage of 3 New Hampshire errors in scoring 8. Mike Carp had a huge game with 2 hits and 2 walks, giving him a 61/75 BB/K ratio on the season (39/75 last season). He was the only one with multiple hits. Caleb Stewart (0 for 3, 2 BBs, K, .280), Shawn Bowman (0 for 5, K, .294) and Salomon Manriquez (0 for 3, BB, .282) took 0-fers. Fernando Martinez was taken out after one PA, a walk, most likely due to a slippery track.

Chris Schwinden was absoultely dominant tonight, with 12 Ks in 7 innings to pick up his 2nd win of the season. Schwinden, a 22nd round pick this year, limited Lowell to 2 baserunners, a hit and walk. Yury Santana and Stephen Clyne pitched 2 perfect innings in relief, with Clyne picking up his 7th save.
The offense had 10 hits, but were held to just 2 UER, due to 9 runners LOB and 2 CS (Jimenez, Smith). JR Voyles, Ike Davis and Jose Jimenez had multi hit games, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 5, run, 4 Ks, .269), and Seth Williams (0 for 4, 3 Ks, .111) took 0-fers.
