EL AA: Binghamton 1/5/0, Harrisburg 4/7/0

Jenrry Mejia returned to the BMets tonight, and went 3 innings (scheduled 50-60 pitch count), giving up all 3 of his runs in the first, on 2 hits and 2 walks, taking his 4th loss. But, the most important thing tonight is that he pitched, felt good, and was hitting 94-98 on the gun. Tomorrow is key in seeing how his finger feels off his first game action since Juen 23rd.

The bullpen followed with 6 innings of 5 hit 1 run relief, but the offense managed just 5 hits and a walk, while going 0-fer (0 for 5) with RISP, leaving 5 on base. Ruben Tejada (0 for 4, .290), DJ Wabick (0 for 3, RBI, 2 Ks, .290), Jose Coronado (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .258) and Mark Kiger (0 for 2, BB, .232) took 0-fers. Ike Davis (2) had the only multi hit game.

The Mets staged an OF ALL THE DRAMATIC THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN 9th inning comeback tonight, pouring 7 runs across to erase a 3-1 deficit. Kirk Nieuwenhuis' grounder tied the game, and after Zach Lutz struck out for the second out of the inning, Stefan Welch was IBBed, and Francisco Pena followed with a 2 run single to give the Mets the lead. Carlos Guzman and Brahiam Maldonado followed with doubles to plate 3 and cap the scoring outburst. Guzman (2) and Maldonado (3) had multi hit games, while Nieuwenhuis (0 for 4, run, RBI, BB, K, .252, SB (16)), Welch (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, K, .296), and Hector Pellot (0 for 4, run, BB, .256) all took 0-fers. The Mets were 4 for 16 with RISP and left 9 on base.

The win went to Stephen Clyne, who worked 2 scoreless innings in back of Scott Shaw, who allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings for a ND.
