Scott Shaw fired 6 shutout innings for the Mets, and they got him a 1-0 lead after 6, but he came back out for the 7th and failed to retire a batter, allowing a hit (solo shot) and having an error made behind him (Reese Havens' 20th) in consecutive batters. Josh Stinson came in and the first batter he faced also reached on an error (Hector Pellot's 15th). Both runs would end up scoring.
