Tonight's song: Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far, Kid
Thoughts go out to David Wright and Hiroki Kuroda, who took a line drive off his temple today.

EL AA: Binghamton 3/9/1, Reading 4/5/0, Game 1
Michael Antonini had one of his finest outings of the season, scattering 3 hits and a run over 6 innings, but Connor Robertson coughed up the lead by allowing 3 in the 7th, without recording an out, though it was officially Jose De La Torre who blew the save by allowing all of Robertson's runs to score.
The Mets offense had 9 hits and 2 walks in the 7 inning contest, while going just 1 for 8 with RISP, and leaving 6 on base. Ruben Tejada (2), Ike Davis (2), and Shawn Bowman (2) had multi hit games, while Caleb Stewart (0 for 3, K, .197), DJ Wabick (0 for 3, .283), and Jose Coronado (0 for 2, BB, .264) took 0-fers.
Edit (The Man): Time to stop the games, Ike Davis is a monster and needs his props. He hit his 17th homerun of the year tonight (combined A+/AA) and has an OPS over .900 during his time in AA. He's currently performing better than the other 4 1B (Alonso, Smoak, Cooper, Wallace) taken ahead of him in last years draft. So much for being a bust and hating on college picks.

Angel Calero had a subpar outing tonight, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings, but that was enough to pick up his 2nd win of the season, as the Mets offense accumulated 11 hits and 3 walks, while going 4 for 15 (.267) with RISP, and leaving 8 on base. Reese Havens (3), Carlos Guzman (3) and Brahiam Maldonado (3) each had multi hit games, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 4, BB, .247), Stefan Welch (0 for 4, run, .294), Hector Pellot (0 for 4, .253) and Luis Rivera (0 for 4, .167) all took 0-fers.

Mark Cohoon had an excellent outing today, giving up a run on 4 hits with 9 Ks in 8 innings, but he would've taken a loss, if not for the Conies scoring a run in the 9th to tie it. Matias Carrillo then gave up a solo shot in the 10th to suffer the eventual loss, 2-1.
The Cyclones had just 4 hits, but drew 7 walks, while going 0-fer (0 for 9) with RISP, and leaving 11 on base. Jake Eigsti (2 for 5, 2b, .259), Scott Grimes (1 for 2, run, HR, RBI, K, .286), and Dock Doyle (1 for 4, 2b, .250) had the only Cyclone hits.

APPY R: Kingsport 11/14/0, Johnson City 0/3/1
For the first time all season, a participant in a Kingsport Mets game did not score, and it was the correct side of the ledger doing the blanking, with Armando Rodriguez and Travis Babin combining on a 3 hitter.
The Mets hammered out 14 hits and drew 4 walks, while going 8 for 17 (.471) with RISP, leaving 7 on base. Cesar Puello (0 for 4, .255) took the only 0-fer, there were 5 players with multi hit games, Pedro Zapata (3) had the lone 3 hit game.
