The Mets scored 3+ runs in 3 seperate innings today (6 in the 3rd, 3 in the 5th, 4 in the 6th), blowing away the Hammerheads 14-6 behind a 16 hit, 4 walk attack. The Mets went 6 for 11 (.556) with RISP, and left 5 on base, while blasting 3 homers, and 9 XBH overall. Kirk Nieuwenhuis (3, single short of cycle), Zach Lutz (2), Stefan Welch (2), Carlos Guzman (2), Brahiam Maldonado (3 hits, 2 homers), and Hector Pellot had multi hit games, while Reese Havens (0 for 4, RBI, .229) took the lone 0-fer.

Kurt Steinhauer singled in Joe Bonfe in the 8th inning to give the Mets a walkoff victory and a split of the twinight doubleheader, after a pair of Pedro Zapata errors opened the door for a 3 run Princeton 3rd against Zach Von Tersch, who was spot starting. Tim Chism picked up the win with 1.1 perfect innings of relief, after Tersch gave up 3 runs and 3 UER in 4.1 innings. The Mets offense generated 5 hits and drew 6 walks while going 3 for 7 (.429) with RISP, and leaving 6 on base.
