The Gnats gave Allen all the runs he would need in the 5th inning, blowing the game open with a 5 spot. Mark Cohoon had another outstanding outing tonight, and Dock Doyle had a breakout game to lead the Cyclones to a 5-0 viger over the Tigers in game 1 of a twinight doubleheader. Cohoon went the distance, allowing just 5 hits and a walk for his 9th win of the season.
Doyle (3) and Richard Lucas (2), had multi hit games for the Cyclones, who in total had 8 hits and 4 walks while going 3 for 9 with RISP and leaving 6 on base.
